Taras Chmut: "We need to stop hoping for a miracle of technology and invest resources in people, of whom we have many, who are still motivated and who can produce miraculous results on the battlefield."

The head of the "Return Alive" foundation, Taras Chmut, told in an interview with "Ukrainian Pravda" what, in his opinion, could change the war in our favor.
"We look at technology, but we need to look at people. People decide war. People fight war. People apply technology. It all comes down to people," the specialist noted.
He added that Ukraine needs to radically change education and training and carry out a major personnel reform and transformation of the Defense Forces.
"Stop hoping for the miracle of technology and invest resources in people, in the miracle of people, of which we have many, who are still motivated and who can produce miraculous results on the battlefield and in war strategically," said Taras Chmut.
In his opinion, we are not close to the point where robots will fight. “While we are talking, someone is dying here and now, someone is fighting here and now. These complex technologies, which the former commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny previously mentioned, will affect the battlefield not tomorrow, not in a month, not in February, and not even in June. And all this time we need to fight,” the chapter of “Return Alive” said.
He gave the example of the United States, which, despite having the best weapons, technologies, and budgets, failed to win in either Iraq or Afghanistan. “So small and relatively poor Ukraine has to invent something and defeat big and rich Russia in terms of technology? Well, that’s it,” Taras Chmut concluded.
