The approval of the relevant agreement is published on the DFC website.
The investment is part of a global DFC financing package totaling over $8 billion, which was approved on September 16, 2026. Thanks to this program, Vodafone Ukraine will be able not only to stabilize the current network operation, but also to begin the deployment of fifth-generation infrastructure.
“These are the kinds of investments President Trump has authorized DFC to make. These projects will boost American exports by billions, protect critical infrastructure and resources in Ukraine, Jordan, and across Africa, and strengthen the position of American companies competing in some of the world’s most important markets,” said Ben Black, CEO of DFC.
As noted by DFC, the construction of the 5G infrastructure will be carried out using so-called "trusted technologies" that meet US security standards. At the same time, the corporation emphasizes that the implementation of the project will benefit not only Ukrainian subscribers, but also American companies doing business in Ukraine - they will also gain access to modernized high-speed networks.
Previously, Vodafone Ukraine attracted 30 million euros in export credit financing for the development of telecommunications infrastructure. The funds will be used to purchase equipment and services from Nokia to further modernize the company's network.
