Aboard Air Force One, answering reporters' questions about whether a deal on TikTok would be reached soon, Trump replied that «it might,» Reuters writes .
He said Sunday that the US administration has spoken to four potential buyers of the social media platform TikTok. «We’re dealing with four different groups, and a lot of people want it… all four are good,» he added.
The US President did not say who claims ownership of the social network. However, it is known that the purchase of TikTok was announced back in May 2024 by former Los Angeles Dodgers owner Frank McCourt.
In addition, the other day, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian officially announced his interest in acquiring TikTok to integrate it with blockchain technology and turn it into a decentralized platform.
It was previously reported that TikTok could avoid a ban in the US if it was acquired by an American owner. It was assumed that such a buyer could be Elon Musk, a close ally of Donald Trump.
Musk later stated that he did not apply to buy TikTok and has no plans to do anything with the application because he does not use it and does not know its format.
