«This is the lowest salary I’ve seen in IT. And they even dragged AI into it,» he wrote and posted screenshots.
A candidate for the position of junior image analyst is offered a salary of 87 UAH per hour.
«How do you like these conditions? Experienced HR would advise replacing this with the wording: „Stable salary“. One might think that this is some no-name company coming up with something and passing it by. But no — this is a completely solid international company that provides solutions for intelligent data collection,» noted Serhiy.
According to Serhiy, judging by the information on the Scandit website, their technology can capture barcodes, text, objects, and identifiers.
«And so the company decided to look for a junior image analyst (JIA) to join the SmartEye project. It all sounds like you’re joining a young team in a high-tech startup that will work on an advanced image processing model. Until you read the sections «What’s important to us» and «What we offer,» the specialist notes.
Serhiy took the time to evaluate the ChatGPT vacancy, and here’s what he learned: «Even ChatGPT was outraged by such a vacancy and wrote that 87 UAH/hour is ridiculous, for 50–70 hours a month it turns out 4,350–6,090 UAH. This is not even the minimum wage, but just some kind of „tip for survival“. CharGPT called it exploitation of leather workers,» the specialist said.
In the comments to Serhiy’s post, AIT members are outraged by such a proposal and leave ironic comments.
«For that kind of salary, they didn’t even offer a booking?» designer Natalie Zabeida asks sarcastically.
“ Most likely, the vacancy was created by AI,» says data analyst Frederic Ibarra.
