Most of the commenters under the post called such conditions from the employer «slavery» and «bondage», and some of them appealed to the fact that they at least do not comply with Ukrainian labor legislation.
In the comments to this post, the IT professional himself reported that the vacancy was for a Junior UX/UI Designer at DXC Luxoft. User oleh.banera also said in the comments that he had been looking for a job for six months, but in this case, what shocked him was not even the slow salary increase offered by the recruiter, but the conditions for refunding money in the event of dismissal, which he called «horrible.» To confirm his words, the IT professional added a screenshot of the correspondence.
Luxoft did not deny that this case was caused by their recruiter, but at the same time emphasized that after conducting an internal audit, it was found that «inaccuracies were made regarding the level of the position and conditions during communication with the candidate.»
A letter from DXC Luxoft Regional Department Manager Olena Hryhorko, which was received by dev.ua in response to a request to comment on the situation, notes that the information that was the subject of discussion did not relate to the Junior vacancy.
«Separate conditions are provided for the other program. All conditions are openly communicated to candidates before the start of cooperation. We also note that the statement about the need to return all the received remuneration is not true and is not confirmed by the company,» emphasized Olena Hryhorko.
According to her, the company provided the candidate with additional clarifications regarding the conditions, and work was carried out within the team «to avoid similar misunderstandings in the future.»
