Ukrainian party game Fluffy Rumble from indie team Krisden 256 has been selected to participate in the Baltic Showcase online exhibition on Steam. The developers are also launching the first open playtest, which will begin on June 1.
This was told to dev.ua by the project’s authors, Kristina and Denis. According to them, they are already preparing a new gameplay trailer that will demonstrate the dynamics of the gameplay in more detail.
Fluffy Rumble is a classic party game consisting of over 20 different mini-games that test reaction speed, memory, coordination, and wit. The gameplay is designed for local co-op on one screen, where a group of friends or family can gather at one computer or console.
For those who play alone, the developers have provided a game with AI bots of several levels of difficulty — from easy to extreme, as well as a full-fledged single-player campaign. In this mode, players will have to survive in the elimination tournament grid, accumulate cups and compete for the top spot in the global record table. Fluffy Rumble already has text Ukrainian localization, and later the developers plan to add a full-fledged online multiplayer.

«We constantly monitor event profiles on specialized sites and submit our project to everything that is suitable in genre and topic. We simply filled out the form, indicated that we were from Ukraine, and later received confirmation that we were selected,» Denis, the project’s co-developer, told dev.ua.
Baltic Showcase is held as part of the renowned European conference DevGAMM Gdansk 2026. The event organizers accept applications from independent developers from a limited list of countries, including Poland, Denmark, the Baltics, Scandinavia and Ukraine. Participation in such a showcase is a great opportunity for indie studios to attract their first large audience and increase the number of games added to Steam wishlists.
«There are actually three different events. The other two require a mandatory physical presence at a location in Poland, but due to logistical constraints, we didn’t apply there. We applied specifically for the online event on Steam. The organizers haven’t yet had time to announce the official date of the showcase on their website, but the event is already active in the Steamworks developer’s office, and our game has been added there,» adds Denis.
For the Krisden 256 team, this is the first major festival to accept their debut project. In August 2025, the developers, due to lack of time, did not have time to prepare the game’s Steam page in time, so they were forced to miss the annual Ukrainian Games Festival. Currently, the authors of Fluffy Rumble are analyzing this experience, actively monitoring announcements, and plan to apply for participation in this year’s Ukrainian festival, which is scheduled to take place in August 2026.
