Ukrainian startups can participate in the UN competition by creating solutions for traveler safety. What technologies are being sought within the Safe Destinations Challenge?
Ukraine has announced the start of accepting applications for the Safe Destinations Challenge innovative solutions competition. The project is designed to help domestic developers create and test technologies that will provide travelers with up-to-date information about the security situation while traveling both within the country and abroad.
Ukraine has announced the start of accepting applications for the Safe Destinations Challenge innovative solutions competition. The project is designed to help domestic developers create and test technologies that will provide travelers with up-to-date information about the security situation while traveling both within the country and abroad.
solutions based on AI, geospatial analytics, digital maps and real-time data;
services that show current risks and help you choose a safe route;
technologies that work with weak or no internet connection;
developments that integrate data on emergencies, transportation, roads, infrastructure and other potential risks.
Who can participate:
startups;
skylaps;
small and medium businesses;
research institutions and universities;
public-private institutions that develop innovative solutions to improve traveler safety.
What is offered to participants:
mentoring support from partners;
the opportunity to test and launch solutions within the framework of a pilot project in Ukraine;
international visibility and media coverage;
the opportunity to present solutions at the Safe Destinations International Forum in 2027;
the opportunity to join the UN Tourism Innovation Network and other international activities.
The main winner of the competition will receive targeted funding for the full implementation and launch of their pilot project.
