The Ukrainian-American Oppenheimer Acceleration Fund is launching its first acceleration program in March, funding two startups: California-based Sierra Turbines and Ukrainian PanoptesAI. They will receive $125,000 in investment.
This is reported by Forbes Ukraine. Initially, startups will receive $25,000 during the preparation stage for the acceleration program, then $100,000 during the program itself.
Oppenheimer Acceleration is a Ukrainian-American venture capital fund created by NETWORK.VC to accelerate startups in the defense, national and public security sectors. The fund was launched in November 2024 in San Francisco. Oppenheimer Acceleration plans to invest a total of $2 million in the startups of the first batch of the acceleration program. The fund has already financed the American miltech startup MARA and the Ukrainian Bavovna.AI and Swarmer.
As for new investments, UkrainianstartupPanoptesAI is developing an AI system that connects stationary, mobile, and airborne optoelectronic stations, as well as electronic reconnaissance modules, into a mesh network. Using AI, it identifies, tracks, and predicts the flight paths of objects. The system also provides continuous monitoring and access to real-time airspace data.
American startup Sierra Turbines manufactures turbojet engines using technologies that can be used in the construction of missiles and long-range drones. They already have the first trial integrations in the US and are looking for investment to create large-scale production.
