The Ukrainian Startup Fund (USF) and the Brave1 cluster, with the support of the Ministry of Digital and Social Policy, announced the launch of a new grant program "Innovative Prosthetics". The project is designed to stimulate the creation of domestic technologies in the field of prosthetics that can replace imported analogues and enter international markets.

The project is designed to stimulate the creation of domestic technologies in the field of prosthetics that can replace imported analogues and enter international markets.
The program aims to support Ukrainian teams at all stages — from idea validation to creating a functional prototype, its testing, certification, and further scaling, USF reports .
The focus of the grant program is on three key categories of developments:
Limb prosthetic solutions: bionic, electronic and mechanical systems for the upper and lower extremities that enhance comfort and functionality.
Innovative components: domestic electronics, drives, battery systems, and mechanical components to reduce dependence on foreign imports.
Personalization and customization: 3D printing technologies and other solutions for adapting prostheses to the individual needs of the patient.
The size of the non-refundable state grant is up to 8 million hryvnias per project. The amount of funding is calculated depending on the technology readiness level (TRL):
up to 2 million UAH - for the idea testing stage;
up to 4 million UAH - for the development of a laboratory sample;
up to 8 million UAH - for the creation of a functional prototype or finished product.
Developers can apply for participation in the grant program through the official portal of the Ukrainian Startup Fund.
