CDTO Campus, together with the State Service for Special Communications, are jointly opening a new direction, CISO Campus, an educational platform for training managers and cyber security specialists (CISO).
This was reported by the press service of CDTO Campus.
They also reminded that in 2025, the position of CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) was officially introduced in Ukraine in all government institutions.
«These are specialists responsible for the security of the institution’s digital infrastructure. Their task is to protect citizens' data, ensure the stability of services, and coordinate the work of teams responding to incidents,» the CDTO Campus press service noted.
The following can join the program:
cybersecurity executives (CISO);
incident response managers;
CSIRT/CERT/SOC specialists;
candidates for leadership positions in the field of cyber defense and specialists who want to develop in this direction.
«The creation of the CISO Campus is an important stage in the development of the CDTO Campus cybersecurity faculty. We strive to prepare a new generation of CISOs capable of protecting the state’s critical infrastructure,» added Ruslana Korenchuk, director of the CDTO Campus.
In the first year of operation, CISO Campus plans to train about 900 specialists.
«Ukraine is moving to the concept of cyber resilience, which involves not only protection, but also active detection of attacks and ultra-fast recovery. This approach is enshrined in the new Law No. 4336-IX, which officially introduces the position of CISO in state bodies. Despite the fact that educational institutions graduate many specialists, there is a significant personnel shortage in the market,» emphasized Oleksandr Potiy, head of the State Special Communications Service, on the occasion of the launch.
According to him, Ukraine today needs thousands of such specialists, because we have over a thousand critical infrastructure facilities, and digitalization is being actively implemented in communities.
In turn, as the press service of the State Service for Special Communications reports, this agency plays a key role in this project, as it provides its infrastructure and expertise. The training will take place, in particular, on the basis of regional cyber defense centers deployed by the Service, which will allow scaling up the training of specialists throughout the country.
CISO Campus will be led by expert Ieva Ilves, former advisor to the President of Latvia on information and digital policy.
«We need another 1,000 people who will be the core. And in general, the deficit at various levels is tens of thousands of specialists.» The head of the State Special Communications Service estimated how many people are needed for the cybersecurity sector in connection with the adoption of the new law
