Another IT employment platform launched in Ukraine. Why the founder of Jobico is not afraid of the existing competition

A team of Ukrainian IT professionals led by CEO & Founder Dmytro Tkachuk launched Jobico.io — a platform for searching for candidates and vacancies in the IT sector.

Dmytro Tkachuk reported this on his LinkedIn account.

He called on representatives of the IT community to test his product and talked about its features.

According to Tkachuk, the search for candidates and vacancies on the Jobico.io platform is done in natural language.

«Why do you need to fill out those filters if you can write: „Come on, run and find me a senior React dev on a remote basis for up to $5k, with at least 5 years of experience and who should be in Europe.“ Or: „I’m a senior Java developer, I work remotely, salary from 5k, is there anything for me?“ Convenient? Very convenient!», said the CEO & Founder.

Also, as the IT expert says, the product’s chat is adapted specifically for hiring.

«Imagine: you have a modern chat on your website with all the usual functionality of modern messengers — from reactions to messages to live updates, and also all the information about the position or candidate. Everything in one place!», he assured.

Tkachuk called another useful advantage of his product the presence of a Match Score for each profile or selected vacancy.

«This parameter analyzes many factors and the relationships between them so that you get perfect matches without any extra effort! Therefore, receive vacancies for your profile or candidates for the selected vacancy automatically,» he suggested.

Dmytro Tkachuk, among other things, also added that Jobico.io contains advanced filters, from the country of search to the presence of a test task, a convenient personal account for companies and candidates with useful functionality, as well as various design variations. In addition, as the author of the project told dev.ua, the service contains a statistics page that allows you to assess «how the Ukrainian IT market is feeling right now.»

According to Tkachuk, their product is not just «another MVP project on the market,» as the team has worked out «every little thing» in detail.

«Competition is a good sign that an idea is in demand»

At the request of dev.ua, Tkachuk clarified a number of points about his project. According to the founder, the development of Jobico started around October-November 2025 and lasted about 6 months until the release in May 2026.

«The idea for this project was born much earlier, but for a long time there was no right moment for its implementation,» says Dmytro Tkachuk.

He explained that the team was formed gradually, starting with him and the Frontend Developer. However, in the final stages of development, they already had a small staff — a Frontend Developer, UX/UI Designer, Manual/Integration QA, and a Social Media Manager.

Aitivets made it clear that the team is currently recruiting popular Ukrainian bloggers with IT content to «gain momentum.»

As for funds for product development, as Tkachuk replied, he himself is the main sponsor of Jobico.

«This is my personal choice for investment, and I chose to invest in creating a quality product that can compete with the giants of the Ukrainian market,» says the IT professional.

He added that he is ready to support the project as long as necessary, and the team is currently working on different terms.

«I would not like to publicly disclose the details of these agreements, but I can say one thing: everyone has chosen the format of cooperation that suits them, and no one works solely on promises of future benefits from the project. Therefore, I am confident in preserving this foundation of the team, as these are people who are well versed in every part of the project, because they created it from the very beginning,» explained Dmytro Tkachuk.

We also asked to comment on the issue of competition, which is quite acute in the niche of specialized job search resources for IT professionals.

According to Tkachuk, competition does not scare him, but motivates him. «If your idea has no competitors, then its chances of success are not that great. Competition is a good sign that the idea is in demand,» he says.

Aitivets noted that he does not want to publicly compare his platform with other similar platforms — in his opinion, this should be done by users.

«I’ll just say that we’ve created a really strong product. We’ve paid attention to every element of the platform and added cool features,» he assured.

Recall, last year we wrote about how a marketer created a hiring tool with minimal effort, which, according to him, turned out to be more convenient and cheaper than jobs.dou and Djinni.
