This decision is part of large-scale reforms aimed at modernizing public administration, according to the document. In particular, these reforms provide for the introduction of modern digital technologies. The purpose of these changes is to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the work of the republican executive authorities and reduce administrative costs.
The largest number of positions will be cut in the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan - 498 units. The Ministry of Water Resources will be left without 224 full-time positions, the Ministry of Agriculture - 200, and the Ministry of Justice will be cut by 197 officials.
The Ministry of Labor and the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan are obliged to assist with employment for employees who have been laid off.
