«The situation is extremely interesting: in one minute I received requests from five different people, all offering the same vacancy. Four of them are the same, one removed the sentence with the company name. The stack is 90% what I have in my profile, the fork is noticeably higher than the market, but not so much that you could say it’s unrealistic,» he said .
The developer answered the first of the recruiters and immediately received a call. «In addition to the typical questions, they ask me to upload a copy of my documents, otherwise we won’t move forward. I say, 'Okay, I’ll think about it.' Five minutes later, another call, a new, better-placed voice says that he is the company manager, and they urgently need a copy of my passport to continue moving forward with the vacancy. I’m not okay with such haste and pressure, so our communication is over,» Mykola said.
He added that he does not rule out the authenticity of the vacancy and the special style of work of the recruiting agency. «I googled the company, and in the reviews on Google they write that they are not satisfied with the quality of the computer equipment they bought from them, which means that the company not only recruits, but also sells hardware,» the developer noted.
He asked if anyone else had encountered similar demands from recruiting.
In the comments, most IT people believe that such an offer is a scam.
