Raiffeisen Bank is looking for a developer with experience in vibe coding. We investigated how many such vacancies there are in the Ukrainian IT market, and what knowledge of AI tools employers most often require
In the USA, there is a real boom in the search for IT specialists with web coding experience. Vacancies from Visa, Reddit and other large IT companies require the relevant skill. So we decided to investigate how the Ukrainian IT market is dealing with this. To do this, we monitored hundreds of vacancies on jobs.dou for almost a month, and also asked companies whether they would require web coding experience for their candidates.
Fullstack Developer vacancy with vibe coding experience from Raiffeisen Bank
After analyzing vacancies on jobs.dou, we saw that the requirement to have experience in vibe coding is rare. One of the few such vacancies is Fullstack Developer from Raiffeisen Bank, where the description states «practical experience with artificial intelligence tools, prompt engineering, and vibe coding.»
AI Products Developer of the IT Technology Development Department of Raiffeisen Bank Sarayri Tahsin explained to dev.ua that this was his initiative, but he did not insist on it being a requirement.
«Initially, I wanted some skills to be categorized as ‘nice to have,’ but they ended up under the general category of ‘Your experience and skills,’ including vibe coding, Advanced English, and others. They just didn’t fix it. However, candidates come to us for interviews, and they’re not scared,» Tahsin said.
According to him, AI is already transforming standard programming processes, for example, through tools such as Copilot (Rife provides a license for those who want it), ChatGPT, RBI Chat (internal ChatGPT). The company seeks to attract specialists who can effectively interact with these technologies, quickly generate and test solutions, master new technologies, and think outside the box.
However, this skill is not mandatory for this position. The company also has a whole community of developers of over 200 people who share their experience and for whom workshops and various webinars on the topic of AI are held.
The following is expected from a candidate with vibe coding experience:
using AI assistants to accelerate code writing, generate technical documentation, translate complex requirements into working code, learn new technologies, use AI as a consultant to quickly find an answer;
the ability to correctly formulate and optimize prompts for better quality results from AI;
critical analysis of fragments generated by AI tools, improving code quality, proposing new approaches to automation and optimization.
At the same time, Tahsin emphasizes that it is not necessary to meet all of these points, some of them are enough. In an interview, to find out about such skills, he simply asks how the candidate uses AI in everyday life and at work.
«Personally, I believe that developers who use, learn to use, or are interested in AI are more effective and productive than those who don’t. We’re not judging anyone; the main thing is that the specialist knows his job well, feels comfortable, and develops in a way that suits him best,» Tahsin noted.
Of the more than several hundred vacancies reviewed, vibe coding is present in the following units:
Fullstack JS/TS Developer With LLM Experience from IT company Lumiere Solutions. Requirements include hands-on experience with vibe coding and familiarity with Cursor. Additionally, experience with modern AI tools is a «nice to have»;
Ruby on Rails Developer & AI Innovation Pioneer at Talkable. The main responsibilities state that the candidate must «practice and implement vibe coding in their daily work.» There are AI tools in the technology stack, but they don’t say which ones;
AI Adoption Lead is a vacancy from EdTech startup ELVTR, part of LABA Group. Vibe coding is also among the requirements. In addition, it is said that this vacancy is for you, in particular, if you are a «practical AI master who adapts ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Midjourney to your task.»
Kotlin Multiplatform (iOS) Developer from international IT company Symphony Solutions. This vacancy is currently inactive, but it was still open last week. Among the experience points, there is one that says: «responsible web coding is welcome.»
Often, job vacancies do not mention vibe coding, but indicate the ability to work with AI tools.
For example, Synkka AI, a startup that «takes an AI-first approach to engineering,» is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who has experience using AI to build software.
AI-first approaches are also being adopted by large companies. For example, in April, Duolingo’s CEO warned of major layoffs among contractors and their replacement with AI. The company aims to be AI-first.
Another example is the Ukrainian company Quantum Defense Tech, which specializes in defense products, is looking for a Software Engineer who knows how to use modern AI-based tools to increase development productivity.
TOP-5 AI tools required from candidates in Ukraine
In vacancies where the ability to work with AI tools is indicated as an additional plus, the most common are:
Among the dozens of IT companies surveyed operating in Ukraine, none, unlike Rife, is ready to hire vibe coders. However, most of them do not shy away from AI, studying the possibility of applying new solutions for business. The demand for AI engineers is growing. Here’s what representatives of employers say.
Daryna Kuzmyk, Talent&Culture Lead, Railsware
Railsware doesn’t have any specific openings for «vibe coding» or AI engineers. But that’s not because we’re not interested. We just don’t hire «trends,» we hire people who can build «damn cool products,» and AI is just one of the tools to achieve that goal.
Within the team, we are constantly exploring new approaches. And if AI tools can improve quality, speed up the cycle or reduce frustration in routine, we integrate them. Many of our engineers are already using AI in their daily work. But it is always not about «using AI», but about making a better solution for the user.
We focus on craftsmanship, on quality, on attention to detail — that’s part of our philosophy. Here, anyone can propose a new approach, framework, or tool if it makes sense. And that’s how it usually goes: first someone shares an idea or example on an engineering call or in Slack, then the team tries it out, analyzes it, and draws conclusions.
So we don’t have any specific positions like «AI vibe coder» yet. However, if this approach brings real value, we’ll be the first to know about it within the team. And maybe after some time it will turn into a vacancy.
In the meantime, we are still looking for strong product-minded engineers who value quality, depth, and the desire to make things happen. And yes, these positions always include room for AI if it helps achieve results.
The topic of vibe coding is really very relevant now, especially in the American market. Therefore, from time to time such requests come to us, mainly from our American customers. We currently do not have any open vacancies under this name, but we periodically look for developers with a creative approach to coding, who easily adapt to new technologies and are able to effectively interact with AI in the development process.
In our opinion, vibe coding is more about style and mindset: the ability to prototype quickly, not be afraid to experiment, and «catch the moment» when working with code. This approach is great for innovative tasks and teams with agile processes.
Regarding compensation, based on our experience and our vision, the level of pay for such specialists is generally comparable to traditional engineering roles and depends more on the level of experience and responsibility than on the work style itself.
Generally speaking, we are always open to people who know how to code with inspiration and see it not only as technical work, but also as a space for creativity.
Maxim Spirin, IT Recruitment Team Lead & Recruitment Operations Team Lead
Our company doesn’t have a «vibe coder» position yet, but we’re already seeing an evolving demand for AI developers or AI-enhanced engineers. These are professionals who not only write code, but also create holistic solutions using LLM technologies, no-code/low-code platforms, agentic workflows, and RAG methods.
Recently, we opened a vacancy for AI & Process Optimization Specialist in the IT Recruitment Department, which is close in essence to the concept of «vibe coding». It is focused on candidates with experience working with Python, no-code tools and LLM agents. This is a new type of role, where specialists are expected not only to have technical skills, but also to be creative and have the ability to think process-oriented. They are not just developers, but become AI makers.
The income level for such positions corresponds to Junior/Middle developers, but it depends significantly on the depth of the candidate’s skills. For example, the presence of AI-related pet projects or experience in prompt engineering can significantly affect the final offer.
Meanwhile, you can find vibe coder vacancies on LinkedIn. For example, EON Reality, a global company specializing in developing solutions for virtual and augmented reality, has opened 3 Junior Vibe Coder vacancies: one in the Asia-Pacific region, the second in Singapore, and the third in the EU.
There’s even a dedicated website for opportunities for vibe coders, Vibe Code Careers, where you can browse these types of jobs. For example, ClickUp is looking for a vibe coder in the US with a salary of $50,000–$100,000 full-time.
«The code doesn’t work. He redoes it several times over the course of a month, and then says ‘shitty task.’» The PMO revealed that one of the developers on the project writes all the code using AI and asked the community if this is normal or not.
