«For over two years, Ukrainian combat drone pilots have been training at UFDS, and now it is available to everyone. Over 5,000 operators have honed their skills here in controlled simulations, after which they have performed more than 100,000 precision combat strikes, minimizing risks to real drones,» the developers note in their press release.
Thus, the professional training platform can now be used not only by the military, but also by anyone who wants to.
As the developers point out, the simulator focuses not on direct firepower, but on the right decisions, precise execution, and competent resource management.
UFDS combines first-person immersion with tactical command, with the player piloting the drone in FPV mode planning the mission, monitoring equipment, ammunition, and evacuation — just like real-life strike drone operators do.
There are two main modes available in the simulator: Academy and Battle Zone.
The first mode offers training and improvement of drone control skills, and the second involves applying skills in dynamic scenarios — defending positions, controlling a swarm of drones, and performing precise strikes under pressure.
The manufacturer also announces that multiplayer will soon be available in the simulator.
Those who wish to practice on the simulator will be able to pilot combat drones Angel Arrow 12», Angel Arrow 15», Mimic 3T, FPV Kamikaze Phantom 7–10», LuckyStrike, and various types of bombs and modular mounts are available as weapons and loads.
Interestingly, the simulator also simulates the operation of electronic warfare systems for training in interference conditions.
For the most accurate and realistic control, the developers recommend using the Radiomaster Pocket, Radiomaster Zorro, Radiomaster TX12, TBS Tango 2, Radiomaster Boxer, and Radiomaster TX16S flight controllers.
The developers also emphasize that UFDS was created by Ukrainian engineers and drone operators who serve on the front lines, so the flight physics, drone types, and combat conditions recreate real operational scenarios.
As dev.ua wrote, the Ukrainian game Bridge Hunter, about destroying a bridge across the Kerch Strait in many different ways, has been released in early access on Steam. At the same time, 25% of the project’s sales are being donated to the «Return Alive» fund.
