Vodafone’s 5G coverage in Kyiv covers all administrative districts of the capital:
Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnyanskyi, Dniprovskyi, Obolonskyi, Pecherskyi, Podilskyi, Svyatoshynskyi, Solomyanskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts.
5G coverage from lifecell is available in the central part (Bessarabskaya Square, Khreshchatyk, Maidan Nezalezhnosti), in the Central and
Southern railway stations, near the Pecherska and Arsenalna metro stations, near the Ocean Plaza shopping mall and the Central Bus Station, in Podil (Poshtova and Kontraktova Squares), on the territory of VDNH, Sevastopolskaya Square, as well as in the RaiON shopping mall (Troyeshchyna) and Retroville shopping mall.

The availability of a 5G signal may also depend on location and building density, and access to the next-generation network may be limited indoors.

5G provides significantly higher data transfer speeds compared to previous generations of mobile communications. Thanks to this, users get comfortable access to digital services, stable video calls, high-quality streaming and fast operation of online applications.
The Ministry of Digital Affairs noted that they have already seen the results of the pilot: almost 1.5 million Ukrainians tested the new technology, during the tests the data transfer speed reached over 1 Gbit/s, and the average speed was about 600-700 Mbit/s.
«Our task now is to qualitatively test 5G technology so that after martial law is ended, we can scale it across the country,» the department noted.
The next step after Kyiv is Odesa. The Ministry of Digital Affairs, together with operators, is already preparing to expand the pilot project to southern Ukraine.
