According to the results of 2024 , Vodafone increased its revenue by 13% to UAH 24.4 billion. In 2023, it amounted to UAH 21.6 billion. The main growth factors were: focus on the development of fixed-line business, increase in the volume of data services and the number of users and, accordingly, income from services - both mobile and fixed-line.
The OIBDA indicator (operating income before depreciation and amortization of intangible assets) remains relatively stable at UAH 12.2 billion, the company notes. Despite the rapid increase in the cost of electricity and the increase in the tax burden, OIBDA decreased by only 4%. The OIBDA margin decreased by 8.7% and amounted to 50.0%.
Vodafone Ukraine's net profit is UAH 3.5 billion, which is 30% less than in 2023, when this figure was over UAH 5 billion. The company explains that this decrease is caused by losses from exchange rate differences due to an 11% increase in the US dollar to hryvnia exchange rate, as well as a partial decrease in operating profit.
At the end of 2024, the number of Vodafone customers was 15.8 million, which is 0.7% less than in 2023. At the same time, the company notes that it has increased the number of contract customers - mainly due to new IoT connections and an increase in the number of private contract subscribers.
ARPU (average revenue per user) increased by 10%: from UAH 107.2 in 2023 to UAH 118.4 in 2024.
One of the company's investment areas is the construction of fixed Internet access networks based on modern GPON technology. Home Internet from Vodafone, which works even when
homes without electricity, in 2024 it became available to residents of more than 1.2 million households, the company's total fixed-line coverage across all technologies is 1.8 million households.
The company is actively building new zones in Kyiv, Odessa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Lviv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr,
Lutsk, Rivne and Ternopil.
Part of the investment, namely UAH 989 million, was directed to the purchase of new frequencies for the development of the LTE network. Vodafone won the competition for the 1st and 5th lots of the 4G frequency allocation auction and received radio frequencies in the 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz bands.
Using 2100 LTE will provide a more stable signal in 4G and add up to 30% of network capacity. And due to the aggregation of 1800 and 2100 MHz frequencies, the company will be able to provide a significant increase in Internet speed. Using the 2600 TDD band will allow to reduce the load on the busiest sites by 50% and increase the speed by an average of 1.5 times, which is important in the context of the constant growth of mobile Internet consumption.
Vodafone continues to develop new technological services . The company has developed its own AI model that will work as a supervisor in contact centers, effectively performing the role of an operator assistant .
