A training simulator for mobile fire groups (MFGs) was presented in Lviv, developed by Andriy Koziy, a fighter of Volunteer Formation No. 2 "LEV" together with his colleague, director of LION AI SOFT, Oleg Kravets.
Using the simulator, MVG fighters can practice realistic scenarios for defeating UAVs in different locations and under different weather conditions. VR technology creates the effect of complete immersion in the process of shooting down air targets, which allows fighters to practice reaction speed, accuracy of shots and preemptive shooting, reports Volunteer Formation No. 2 of the LMTG "LEV".
"Initially, the simulator was planned as a basic training tool, but later we adapted it specifically to the needs of the MVG. Its main advantage is safety and preservation of human lives," said Oleg Kravets.
An educational VR simulator can:
simulate the flight of enemy drones: angle, height, speed and weather conditions are adjustable;
teaches preemptive shooting - one of the main focuses;
Currently, shooting with the AK-74 is fully implemented, there is the possibility of shooting with the Stinger, in the future - support for any weapons, including thermal imaging sights.
The price of such a product can vary from $25,000 to $45,000, reports the publication "Vgolos".
The instructor can fully control the situation and simulate the situation, see the results and correct the actions of his student. This approach will allow to better organize the process of working with new recruits.
The developers of the Liftoff FPV drone simulator spent two years trying to reach out to Ukrainian authorities for cooperation. They succeeded after a public outcry on X (Twitter)
