Drone manufacturer Vyriy Industries launches instructor training school for UAV operators

Ukrainian defense technology company Vyriy Industries has launched a new training initiative, VYRIY AERO SCHOOL. The project will operate on a Train-the-Trainer basis to scale up training for operators working with the company’s unmanned systems on the front lines.
As the manufacturer’s representatives reported on the company’s official website, the initiative is aimed at training instructors of existing military schools and large training centers. Within the framework of the program, Vyriy Industries will transfer regulatory and technical documentation, equipment, tools and practical experience in operating platforms to partners, and the centers themselves will form their own training programs.
«We are not trying to retrain into an educational institution. Our goal is to unite existing training centers into a system where production and training infrastructure effectively work together for the Defense Forces of Ukraine,» notes CBDO Vyriy Industries Eduard Lysenko.
The instructor training will be conducted in a practical format at the training ground and will last from 3 to 5 days. The main objective of the course is to quickly master the platform and transfer the features of piloting and operating the Vyriy systems.
Crew training for units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine will be free of charge. After purchasing the complex, the unit sends a request, and company representatives organize training at one of the partner centers. Upon completion of the course, the servicemen will receive appropriate certificates.
«By purchasing the complex, the unit promptly receives training in a reputable center for the number of crews necessary to perform the tasks,» adds Eduard Lysenko.
The duration of the training will depend on the previous experience of the military. For operators of aircraft-type reconnaissance UAVs, the transition to the new platform will last up to 5 days and will consist mainly of practice. For pilots transferring from other types of platforms, the course will take from 2 to 3 weeks, including a full theoretical and practical base. The involvement of external centers should accelerate the integration of the company’s new technological solutions into combat operations.
Recall that in 2025, Vyriy Industries grew 10 times, and this year it plans to scale another tenfold. Currently, the engineering team consists of approximately 30% software developers, and their number is planned to be significantly increased.
Vyriy Industries plans to expand the staff of software engineers to 60%. What salaries does one of the largest manufacturers of FPV drones in Ukraine offer?
«We desperately need developers so that robots that make decisions to kill Russians appear before robots that make decisions to kill Ukrainians.» Oleksiy Babenko (Vyriy) on salaries at MilTech, conspiracy theories, and autonomous warfare
