The AI boom has sparked a fierce competition for talent. That's why xAI is hiring a Talent Engineer team to accelerate the recruitment of top talent.
According to the job description on xAI’s website , this “small, elite unit” will report directly to Musk. The team will focus on developing “innovative approaches” to finding and attracting “the absolute best talent in the world.”
Successful candidates should be fluent in vibecoding, have experience building cool products, "even as a child," and be true "engineer geeks" at heart — despite the fact that their friends consider them very sociable.
“We recognize that the search for ‘top talent’ is rarely limited to LinkedIn; instead, it occurs through referrals, networking at events, running competitions, utilizing niche online communities, and other creative channels. You are expected to have the ability to make informed decisions and have an intuitive understanding of what professional excellence looks like across a variety of technical and non-technical fields,” the job description states.
The annual salary range is $120,000 - $240,000.
The hiring process includes: application submission, 30-minute introductory call with a “talent engineer,” presentation, and a final face-to-face meeting with the team.
xAI notes that their goal is to complete the selection process within two weeks.
