4,100 providers, of which 63% are private enterprises: a dashboard for analyzing the fixed Internet market was launched in Ukraine

In the creation of the dashboard «Fixed Internet Access Services Market» open data of the NKEK regulator, as well as information on single tax payers, were used. It can be particularly useful for market participants and analysts.

What the Ukrainian market for fixed Internet access services looks like in 2024 shows according to the data of the analytical dashboard

• About 8.5 million Ukrainian subscribers — households, businesses, institutions — use fixed Internet access services. 27% of them are in rural areas. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the number of subscribers has decreased significantly, but has now recovered to the level of 2021.
• Among 4,100 providers of fixed Internet connection, 63% are natural persons-entrepreneurs. Every year their market share is growing, and in 2024 they served 36,5% of subscribers (45% in rural areas).
• Most service providers are individuals and legal entities on the simplified taxation system. However, they do not dominate the market: about 56% of the revenues of the fixed Internet access industry in the first half of 2024 were received by providers that worked on the general taxation system.
• According to the results of the first half of 2024, 94% of fixed Internet access service providers received less than UAH 5 million in revenue.
• The average revenue per subscriber (ARPU) of suppliers-legal entities is higher than the ARPU of suppliers-FOP (252 UAH/month vs. 227 UAH/month), and has been showing growth over the past three years. The average ARPU of the Top 10 companies in the market is UAH 185/month.

According to the results of the work in the first half of 2024, the market leaders provide 33% of Ukrainian subscribers (2.8 million users) with fixed Internet access, generating 28% of the industry’s revenues. At the same time, the market share of the largest operators, both in terms of revenue and quantity subscribers is decreasing every year.
