Meanwhile, Wizz Air’s competitors in the budget passenger air transportation segment, Ryanair and EasyJet, have previously argued that the introduction of Starlink internet access during flights is associated with significant costs.
In particular, Ryanair’s top manager Michael O’Leary once published estimates that using Starlink would cost his company up to $250 million per year.
Starlink itself has already signed deals with several U.S. carriers, including American Airlines, Southwest, United, and Alaska. Starlink has also partnered with global carriers Singapore Airlines and Emirates.
