This is reported in the study of the AIN publication «10 Years of Ukrainian Defense Tech», which is based on Lobby X data. It notes that the Defense Tech industry has gained greater popularity in recent years of full-scale invasion, in particular due to better conditions compared to mobilization and the possibility of booking.
The number of employees in mass production is estimated on average at 3,000 to 5,000 people per company, and the number of employees in startups is up to 50 people per project.

In the summer of 2025, it became known that the median salary of Ukrainian IT managers over the past six months has decreased slightly — from $3,150 to $3,000. The monetary compensation of specialists in the position of Product Owners has decreased for the first time since 2023, and salaries for Project Managers, on the contrary, have begun to grow.
