This was stated by the company’s co-founder Valery Zarubin in an interview with dev.ua.
«BlueBird Tech is opening R&D centers in EU countries, the first will be Poland. The priority is Ukrainian engineers who live abroad and can help develop Ukrainian technologies. If we do not find the necessary expertise among our own, we are ready to attract engineers from other countries,» Zarubin noted.
According to him, the shortage of engineers remains one of the main challenges for the entire industry, but the company is solving this issue by expanding the geography of the search for specialists.
The company emphasizes that it is not just about closing vacancies, but about forming a strong engineering environment around Ukrainian defense products.
BlueBird Tech is also developing an educational direction. The company currently cooperates with six technical educational institutions in Ukraine. The company’s engineers conduct lectures for students and introduce them to the real technological challenges facing the defense industry today.
According to Zarubin, without the development of its own engineering school, Ukrainian defense tech will not be able to scale in the long term.
