The author of the idea, Artur Fedorenko, who has been working on the implementation since the beginning of 2022, announced that he is closing the "Work in the Backroom" platform. What does he plan to focus on next?
The founder of the project "Work in the Backroom" Artur Fedorenko told dev.ua why he decided to close the platform and about his future plans.
"I made the decision to close six months ago, but at the end of January I finally made up my mind. Therefore, from the end of the month I stopped paying subscriptions for services," said an experienced HR specialist.
He noted that he invested about $10,000 of his own funds in the direction. To this was added $2,000–3,000 in cumulative donations from caring people (this is the Facebook community, friends, acquaintances) over the entire time.
"In general, the "Backstage Work" direction has managed to attract 86 volunteers over the entire time, who in one way or another contributed to the functioning of the platform and assistance to its users. During active times, up to 15 volunteers were involved in the platform," the interlocutor reported.
He singled out a team of 12 students from the online university Projector’s product design course who used their coursework to improve the platform. One team worked on the searcher side, the other on the employer side. Some of their suggestions were actually implemented on the platform.
As for plans for the near future, Artur Fedorenko sees them in projects more closely related to the military direction. Therefore, he is leaving the "Manufacturers in the Home Front" project, planning changes in the "Mentors in the Home Front" project, and has plans for additional projects.

— Publish over 11,000 volunteer opportunities and vacancies on the platform.
