«It’s just year after year — no, it will be the year of fiber optics,» says Kyrylo Veres, answering a question in an interview with DW whether 2025 will be the year of ground robotic complexes. But the K-2 commander could not specify when massive «fiber optics» could be introduced into the Ukrainian security and defense forces.
«If now out of a hundred units on the front line it flies in 10 units, and in 90 it doesn’t fly — this is not an indicator. But when it flies in 90, and in 10 the guys are still rocking there — that will be the result,» he added.
However, when asked whether 2025 will be the year of fiber optics and counter-fiber optics, and what the situation will be with this direction, Kyrylo Veres said that he did not know the answer. «What fiber optics is, for sure,» he added.
