«PrivatBank» topped the rating of banks operating in Ukraine by the number of technical specialists in IT teams. In total, 73,572 specialists work in the 15 banks included in the list, of which 8,418 are in IT departments.

The rating was compiled by the publication DOU, which reports that the TOP-5 include: PrivatBank, Raiffeisen Bank, PUMB, Oschadbank and Sense Bank.
It is noted that technical specialists include developers, testers, project managers, sysadmins, DevOps and Data Science specialists, designers, analysts, hardware engineers, etc. And employees in IT departments also include top management, marketing, support, Sales, HR, legal department and other administrative personnel.

IT-workers in banks create and update banking systems, develop mobile applications and online platforms. They also maintain servers, networks, databases and internal systems, and work on cybersecurity to protect customer data and financial transactions.
The DOU notes that the number of employees in the IT departments of most banks has hardly changed over the past year. Only at «PUMB» did the IT department increase by 100 employees. The most wanted vacancies are DevSecOps and Core Banking.
«Oschadbank» has about 20 open vacancies in IT departments — project managers, testers, and administrators are needed. PrivatBank has 150 vacancies in the IT department.
