According to TechCrunch, Claude now has a catalog of apps for Slack, Canva, Figma, Box, and Clay, and the company promises to add Salesforce integration later. The logic is as follows: the user connects their account to the service, after which Claude can interact with it within the limits of the allowed rights. Depending on the tool, this may mean accessing cloud files, working with design mockups, or actions in team communications.
At launch, Anthropic talks about nine partners. In the use cases, they mention that with Box, the bot can find files, show documents within the interface, and answer questions about the content, and with Asana, it can turn conversations into tasks, projects, and timelines that the team can then see in their workspace.
The feature is not available to everyone: it was opened for Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscriptions, but not for free users. Activation is done through the catalog on the Claude website, after which interactive windows for working with the tools appear in the chat.
The integrations are built on the Model Context Protocol, which Anthropic introduced in 2024 as an open standard for connecting services to AI. The approach is similar to the interactive tools system previously launched by competitors, and both use the same protocol.
Separately, Anthropic warns about the risks of agent scenarios. The company advises to closely monitor the actions of the assistant, not to grant unnecessary permissions, and to be cautious about access to financial documents, credentials, and personal records.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Anthropic introduced a new tool called Cowork, designed as a more accessible version of Claude Code. Integrated into the Claude Desktop application, it allows the user to define a specific folder for the AI to access. Claude can read and edit files in it, guided by instructions from the standard chat window.
