This was announced by the company’s CEO Tim Cook on his page in X (Twitter). According to insiders and industry publications, the main emphasis will be on the iPhone 17 series. The line will include an ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air with a 6.6-inch display, a standard iPhone 17, as well as Pro and Pro Max models. The latter will receive an aluminum body, an updated camera unit and a new A19 Pro processor. The iPhone 17 Air is positioned as the company’s lightest smartphone, which will have a C1 modem and one main camera.
In addition, a large-scale update is expected in the wearables segment: the company is preparing for the release of the Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3 and Watch SE 3. For the first time in three years, all three smartwatch models will receive a simultaneous update. Also on the list of possible premieres: AirPods Pro 3, a new HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K.
Analysts note that Apple may place special emphasis on optimizing the weight and thickness of smartphones. If the information about the iPhone 17 Air is confirmed, it will become the thinnest iPhone in the history of the brand, which could set a new standard for the market. At the same time, the Pro line is expected to focus on cameras and performance.
In addition to new devices, Apple is set to announce release dates for updated operating systems: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, and watchOS 12.
In 2024, Apple updated the iPad Pro design and introduced the first MacBook Pro with the M4 chip, but the main focus is traditionally on the iPhone. Last year, the company faced a decline in smartphone demand in China, so this year’s new products should be a response to increased competition from Huawei and Samsung.
