Apple reported its best quarter yet for the iPhone, with sales hitting record highs in both revenue and overall contribution to the company’s financial results.
According to Engadget, Apple earned $85.27 billion in revenue from iPhones alone in the quarter ending in December 2025. This is the highest figure in the company’s smartphone sales history. Apple’s total revenue for the period amounted to almost $143.8 billion, which was also an all-time record.
Apple CEO Tim Cook said demand for the iPhone has been «extraordinarily strong,» with the current lineup of smartphones becoming the most popular among users. The company traditionally doesn’t disclose unit sales, but even at current prices, that would mean tens of millions of iPhones sold in a single quarter.
In addition to smartphones, other business areas also grew significantly. Apple’s services division, which includes the App Store, subscriptions and digital services, brought in more than $30 billion in revenue, which is also the best quarterly result for this segment.
The end-of-year quarter is traditionally Apple’s strongest quarter due to the holiday season and the release of new iPhone models in the fall. In previous years, this period has repeatedly brought the company financial records, but this year’s result was the largest in the brand’s history and confirmed the key role of the iPhone as Apple’s main source of revenue.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how Apple is likely to expand the AirPods Pro line with another model: this year the company may show a «premium» version that will be sold in parallel with the current AirPods Pro 3 and will be more expensive than it.
