The Brave1 defense technology cluster has completed final tests of new kamikaze attack drones. These are Ukrainian developments that are capable of hitting targets at a distance of more than 40 kilometers, even under the influence of electronic warfare systems.
As reported on the official Brave1 page and in a post by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, the manufacturers created the solution in close cooperation with the military, receiving direct feedback from them. Thanks to this, it was possible to achieve maximum efficiency, and in the near future the new drones should undergo combat testing.
According to Brave1, drones are characterized by their low cost, ease of scaling, and ability to perform missions at distances of 40–50+ km. This allows Ukrainian forces to strike enemy compounds, command posts, and equipment far behind the front line, minimizing risks to personnel.
«Combat tests are ahead, and then mass use on the battlefield. Thanks to the support of Brave1 and cooperation with the military, we managed to create a drone that meets the needs of the front here and now,» the cluster emphasized.
Overcoming electronic warfare is one of the key requirements for modern Ukrainian drones. Russia is actively saturating the front line with jammers that block communication channels and GPS navigation. New drones, capable of operating in conditions of active interference, open up opportunities for precise strikes where it was previously practically impossible.
The development of such systems allows the Armed Forces of Ukraine to plan operations at greater depth of enemy defense and compensate for the enemy’s advantage in electronic warfare. In addition, the cheapness and possibility of mass production make this weapon one of the most promising tools for the next stages of the war.
Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the Ministry of Defense integrated the codification service for new weapons models into the ecosystem of the «ZBROYA» and BRAVE1 portals. Simplified access to the online platform «Window for Weapons and Equipment Manufacturers» will allow to speed up the codification and testing processes of new weapons models.
