Ukrainian businessman Maksym Krippa, who owns the NAVI esports team and the GSC Game World studio, has acquired Ukrainian mobile game developer Burny Games.
This was reported by NV Business with reference to the businessman’s press service.
«I am consistently expanding my IT and GameDev assets, investing in various segments of the industry — from large studios such as NAVI and GSC Game World, to the mobile direction, which is one of the most dynamic in the world today. Burny Games has shown itself from the first steps as a mature team with the potential to scale… I am convinced that such partnerships are forming a new wave of Ukrainian game development companies capable of competing on a global level,» said Maksym Krippa.
Burny Games is a Ukrainian full-cycle developer and publisher of mobile puzzle games. It is noted that Krippa has supported the studio since its founding in 2022 as an investor and strategic partner. The company has workspaces in Kyiv and Lisbon and about 140 employees.
«From the beginning, we built the company with the ambition to become a global player. Investments give us the opportunity to move towards this goal faster — both in terms of product and internal processes,» said Burny Games CEO Anatoliy Genis.
According to him, the partnership will allow the company to accelerate scaling and strengthen its position in the international market.
Recall that Burny Games created the mobile game Colorwood Words, where players need to fill in the missing letters to complete a word, phrase, or sentence. By the end of May 2025, the number of downloads of the game exceeded 1.1 million.
