«The beginning of the year looks dynamic and promising. We see positive signals from our clients from the USA and Israel. Budgets for the year have been approved, businesses have decided on their plans, and active work on projects is beginning. We believe that based on the results of the year, we will be able to increase the staff,» Forbes quotes Vitaliy Nuzhny, head of the IT company Ciklum.
According to him, the end of the US elections also had a positive impact on clients. «During the Christmas holidays, the US sales team met with potential clients, although this is usually a „quiet“ period,» says Nuzhny, whose company currently has 61 vacancies in Ukraine.
In turn, Roman Gapachilo, Vice President of Talent Management at IT company Intellias, believes that the positive trend is facilitated by the pent-up demand for IT in the world.
«We have an increase in requests from customers for new developments. We will focus primarily on expanding our business in the US,» he adds. According to the publication, Intellias has found 40 new customers in a year, so in 2025 it plans to increase its team globally by 15-20%.
At the same time, Sigma Software hired 17 new employees in January, and plans to hire another 200 specialists during the year. «We remain cautiously optimistic about the dynamics of hiring in 2025,» the press service said in response to a request from Forbes Ukraine.
In turn, the head of the IT Ukraine association, Maria Shevchuk, hypothesized that due to the mood in the US market, interest in investments in Ukrainian IT projects will grow.
«Any statements about the improvement of the situation in Ukraine inspire hope in many clients. This reduces the level of uncertainty. The hiring forecasts for 2025 are quite optimistic,» she states.
At the same time, according to the latest data, in 2024 the volume of IT exports fell by 4%, and the decline continues for the second year in a row.
