Defense Tech startup Trypillian introduces tactical UAV family and completes Deep-Strike strike tests
British-Ukrainian Trypillian has announced a line of tactical drones for the frontline and said its long-range Deep-Strike platform is entering the final phase of field testing.
British-Ukrainian Trypillian has announced a line of tactical drones for the frontline and said its long-range Deep-Strike platform is entering the final phase of field testing.
The company’s plans and lineup were reported by «Military» with reference to Trypillian. In parallel with Deep-Strike, the manufacturer is launching four tactical platforms, combining hardware and software for operational scenarios: from payload delivery to radio channel expansion and precision strikes.
The family is based on an FPV platform of several sizes for close combat. It is light, economical and capable of accelerating to about 90 km/h (exactly where crew reactivity and low cost of departure are important). The second type is a carrier-relay: a field «continuator» of communication with an approximate tactical radius of about 12 km, which extends control to where the «shadows» of the radio air usually begin.
A separate direction was the Bomber. This is a universal strike platform with a ground station in a compact case: drive up, unfold, and go. For reconnaissance and missions in difficult conditions, a VTOL with vertical takeoff/landing was created. Its declared operating «ceiling» is up to 3,500 meters, which is critical in mountainous or densely built-up areas.
Trypillian builds development together with combat units: designs and control algorithms are adjusted based on «hot» feedback.
«We are launching tactical UAVs in order to establish ourselves as an integrator of comprehensive defense solutions. After all, a close-in UAV is not a product, but a process. „Killzone“ is a product. We provide equipment, software, a distributed production process, and an operational doctrine that allows our customers to create a reliable perimeter of deterrence against enemy threats,» says the company’s CEO, Ivan Matveichenko.
The plans include joint operational tests of the entire line with Ukrainian units and bringing the deep-attack system to series production.
Deep strikes, sustained tactical communication, and rapid sector-specific customization are three key demands of the front in 2025. The UAV market is moving from artificial «hyperplatforms» to modular «workhorses» that are cheaper to scale and easier to repair.
As we previously reported, dev.ua reported that the British-Ukrainian Defense Tech startup Trypillian attracted $5 million in investment from former UK Minister Brooks Newmark, who is also the company’s chairman. Among the founders is a former Ukrainian serviceman who participated in the battles for Bakhmut and Soledar.
