DOK-ING and Valhalla Turrets introduced the KOMODO–MANGART 25 unmanned air defense and anti-drone defense system with an integrated 25 mm turret

Croatian DOK-ING, operating in Ukraine, and Slovenian Valhalla Turrets have shown a new unmanned ground complex in which anti-aircraft weapons are fully integrated into a robotic platform. The solution is designed for urban operations, infrastructure coverage, and work in high-risk areas.

As stated in the DOK-ING press release, the premiere took place at the SIDEC 2025 exhibition in Celje, Slovenia. KOMODO–MANGART 25 combines the MV-8 Komodo unmanned platform and the Mangart 25 AD 25 mm remotely controlled turret. The declared remote control range will reach up to 2 km, and the combat module supports automated fire control and combines optical, thermal, radar and infrared sensors for working on targets in the air and on the ground.

The MV-8 Komodo platform is modular, hybrid and cargo-carrying, designed for tasks from reconnaissance to unmanned engineering support. The open digital architecture allows for rapid configuration changes, integration with C4ISR networks and MUM-T scenarios, and the addition of specialized packages from fire support to anti-tank weapons. The Valhalla Mangart 25 turret is equipped with a 25 mm automatic cannon and two launchers for defeating UAVs and other unmanned systems, provides stabilization, target tracking and operation in mixed units.

The developers emphasize that this is the first system where the air defense complex is fully integrated into the NRC, without external «superstructures». Such integration reduces risks for personnel, simplifies logistics, increases survivability and provides flexibility for various missions — from covering a convoy to protecting energy facilities. During the year, DOK-ING and Valhalla plan to show a wider list of modules for Komodo, which will expand the range of combat and special applications. The partnership is launched within the framework of intergovernmental agreements between Croatia and Slovenia, aimed at developing the capabilities of small European states and the technological independence of the EU and NATO.

DOK-ING has specialized in robotic platforms for mine clearance, firefighting and CBRN threat response since 1991, and its equipment operates in 40+ countries. In Ukraine, the company has a representative office, local assembly and service; since 2022, its machines have been used by the State Emergency Service, the State Security Service, the Armed Forces of Ukraine and international partners FSD and NPA. For fronts with a rich drone component, integrated ground-based air defense systems are a logical addition to network defense: they close the «near zone», quickly change positions and give drone teams a tool for active countermeasures within a single platform.

Previously, dev.ua wrote about how DOK-ING increased the percentage of production localization in Ukraine to 30% and plans to increase this figure to 50% in 2026.
