NV Business writes about this, citing research by the consulting company Korn Ferry.
«The salary of IT specialists is tied to the dollar, so in the hryvnia equivalent, the growth in income becomes more noticeable,» says Korn Ferry expert Khrystyna Sudarenko. «The total remuneration in the industry is not limited to salary alone — bonuses and benefits play an important role.»

As a representative of Korn Ferry notes, wages in Ukraine are currently reviewed less frequently, and the growth rate is not as significant as in the pre-war period.
According to the latest Korn Ferry study, 45% of Ukrainian IT companies have reduced their staff by an average of 9,4%. This is most common in service companies, and it is most difficult for beginners — trainees and juniors — to find work.

Khrystyna Sudarenko noted that the highest-paid professionals in the Ukrainian IT sector include architects, product managers, Scala developers, cybersecurity, DevOps engineers, and specialists in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Their salaries significantly exceed the industry average.
The most promising areas remain such as SaaS, AI, MilTech, FinTech, MedTech, and Cybersecurity, as they are currently attracting the most investment and developing the most dynamically, Korn Ferry noted.

According to Korn Ferry, 11% of companies offer cash bonus programs for all employees, and another 58% offer annual bonuses for certain categories of specialists.
According to forecasts, salaries in Ukrainian IT will grow moderately this year — at the level of 5−7%, but in hryvnia equivalent, the pace will be higher due to possible exchange rate fluctuations.
Competition among newcomers to the IT field will remain high, and companies will look for those specialists who require less investment in training.
