Ukraine closed 2025 with an increase in IT exports to $6.656 billion, and December became the strongest month of the year: revenues from IT services jumped by $142 million compared to November.
This is what Danylo Getmantsev writes, citing NBU statistics. According to him, in December 2025, the export of IT services reached $685 million. This is $142 million more than in November, which is +26.2% month-on-month. In year-on-year comparison, December also grew: in December 2024, the figure was $616 million, so the increase for the year is $69 million or +11.2%.
According to the results of the entire 2025, the export of IT services, which Hetmantsev cites, is $6.656 billion. This is $210 million more than in 2024 ($6.446 billion), i.e. +3.3% year on year. At the same time, according to the figures provided, the industry has not yet returned to the result of 2022 ($7.349 billion), so the post talks about growth until 2024, but not about a «record from 2022.»

Hetmantsev notes that these same countries were among the leaders in 2024. Separately, he links the potential for further growth with the development of defense tech products and mentions the Defense City special regime, which, according to him, started in January 2026 and provides for tax incentives, export support, and assistance with relocation.
In 2025, Ukrainian IT exports turned out to be a small «plus» compared to 2024, but still lower than the level of 2022. The December result stands out because it gave a sharp monthly increase and significantly strengthened the final figure for the year.
