As Gazeta.ua writes, citing an interview with the company’s CEO Irina Terek for LIGA.net, in August Fire Point produced 30 missiles, but now the pace has almost doubled. Scaling was made possible thanks to technological innovations that reduced the production cycle time from seven days to two hours.
This is a proprietary development of composite wing manufacturing, which not only speeds up the process, but also reduces costs without sacrificing quality. This approach makes production more flexible and resilient to the growing needs of the front.
The company also invests in robotics and uses unique carbon-winding technologies that increase the accuracy and reliability of structures. In addition to rocket production, Fire Point also develops related areas. For example, Ukrainian developers are provided with free anti-spoofing software, which could cost $3,500–5,000 on the market.
In parallel, Fire Point is working on a new air defense system. It is currently in the development and testing stages, so details are not yet disclosed. However, the company emphasizes that this development should become a component of a new generation of air defense and strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities.
Recall that recently, new Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles have already successfully hit enemy targets.
The Flamingo warhead weighs 1,150 kg, and the missile has a range of over 3,000 km. It also has electronic warfare (EW) protection, and its speed is 950 km/h.
It is also worth noting that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is investigating the activities of the Fire Point company, which produces the FP-1 UAV and the FP-5 («Flamingo») cruise missile. The manufacturers are suspected of overstating the cost of UAV components and the number of drones for the Defense Forces.
