Frontend Developer spoke about non-payment of salary at IT company Miteyda. It seems that his case is far from the only one. What else did we learn?

Frontend Developer Oleh Erokhin shared that he was not paid compensation for November and December 2024 while working for the IT company Miteyda. The IT worker’s attempts to resolve this issue with his former employer, according to him, ended in nothing, and now he is seriously considering the option of going to court. The only nuance is that the company operates in the legal field of Germany, as its head office is located in the city of Aachen.

«After my demand to pay me the money I earned and send invoices, I was removed from work chats, and a notification about the termination of the contract was sent to my e-mail. Further communication also failed: the demands to pay me compensation for the time worked were ignored, there is still no response», — Oleh Erokhin wrote on his LinkedIn page.

According to him, he has kept evidence of his communication with management regarding unpaid wages and all relevant documents, and intends to contact a lawyer to file a lawsuit and further represent his interests in court. At the same time, he noted that he does not exclude the possibility for Miteyda to resolve this issue pre-trial if any of the authorized persons reacts to the information he has published.

«There’s no money, so we’ll pay it off soon.» The background to financial misunderstandings

dev.ua contacted Oleh Erokhin to get more details about this situation and his cooperation with Miteyda. Aytivets said that in April 2024 he began cooperation with AZSoft.rocks, which, according to him, is a legal entity of Miteyda in Ukraine, and in October 2024 he re-signed the contract directly with the Miteyda company.

«I should note right away that both companies have the same work system, the same work environment, and the same employees — I worked with the same team both at AZSoft.rocks and at Miteyda,» he clarified in a comment to dev.ua.

As Erokhin says, there were no problems in the first months, but in June of last year, changes began: the project he came to work on began to be restructured, so he was warned about his upcoming dismissal at the end of June, but with payment of remuneration for all the time worked.

«So, I conscientiously completed the agreed deadline, corrected the documentation and parted ways with that customer peacefully. I immediately received payment for May from Miteyda and was transferred to the bench. But in July, changes occurred in the company — my RM, who communicated with customers and dealt with issues of payment of remuneration, resigned. Another person was appointed to her place, and at that moment the questions began — I did not receive payment for June,» noted the Frontend Developer.

He added that he began to communicate with the new RM, who used various methods to delay the payment. «There is no money, then we will pay it soon. It got to the point that I sent a demand to pay me the agreed money, otherwise I was going to go to court. Then, by the end of August, I was paid part of the debt, and when a new project appeared on the horizon, they paid in full,» Erokhin said about his previous similar experience with Miteyda.

As Frontend Developer states, describing the general situation on the project recently, his team leader also had problems communicating with the company, and they were simultaneously and without explanation cut off from the shared internal system. He himself, among other things, received a letter of unilateral termination of the contract.

«I will note right away that I consider such a decision of the company’s management to be unfounded and illegal. Until now, I have only offered the company to pay me the remuneration I earned, but now, apparently, the matter will not be limited to this (if they do not come to their senses in the near future). I have already started negotiations with lawyers regarding the representation of my interests in court,» Erokhin summed up.

dev.ua asked the IT worker why he brought the issue to the public stage only now, in the summer of 2025, when more than six months have passed since the salary was not paid. To this, Erokhin replied that first he immediately found a new project, on which he was quite busy, in order to additionally take some legal actions against his previous employer, and then difficult personal circumstances intervened. So, in his words, the time and opportunity to take action appeared only now.

Other voices

Interestingly, in the comments to Oleh Erokhin’s post, there were also IT professionals who had a similar negative experience of working with the Miteyda company.

«I had little experience working with them, I had been paying my last salary for 4 months, although before that there were no issues with payments at all,» shared Software Engineer Margarita Sumtsova. dev.ua contacted the IT worker to find out more details about her situation.

Margarita Sumtsova said that she ended her cooperation with Miteyda in the spring of 2023. She noted that she no longer remembers all the details in detail, but when at the beginning of the month after the end of the cooperation she did not receive money on the invoice, she wrote to the person responsible for finances in the company. He, in turn, assured that the payment would be next month. «And, in fact, this situation was repeated several times — they simply told me that there would be no money this month — wait for the next one. In the end, I received my payment not to the account of the individual entrepreneur, as usual, but by transfer via Payoneer only on August 3,» the IT specialist noted.

According to Margarita, she tried to be as reserved and polite as possible in communication, because she was worried that she would simply be «thrown into the block» and not be paid at all. «Therefore, systematically, on the dates of salary payments, I contacted this person every month with a question about where the payment was. But if I’m not mistaken, in the last two months I also got in touch with my former project manager, who was still working there at that time. We were on good terms and I simply wrote as it is, that it was absolutely not okay to act like that. I don’t know how it really was, but it seems to me that it was our good relationship and her human attitude and qualities that influenced the situation to end with a payment,» the IT worker shared her experience with dev.ua.

In addition, it is worth noting that on the Miteyda company profile on the DOU website, at least half of the comments from contributors concern various situations with delays or non-payment of wages .

Interestingly, the company’s official website is not working. We addressed a request to Miteyda regarding Oleg Erokhin’s situation and other complaints about delays/non-payment of wages, so we are ready to publish their position as well. At the same time, we tried to use any other communication channels to contact Miteyda representatives.

Previously, we wrote about several cases of representatives of the tech industry, when publicity on LinkedIn helped them repay salary debts from former employers.
