According to a press release from Frontline Robotics, the Burya turret, mounted on an ARDAL tracked platform, operates with a Mk 19 automatic grenade launcher and is designed to engage targets from closed firing positions. This means firing without direct contact with the enemy, when the operator is at a safe distance and the system fires according to coordinates.
The complex is remotely controlled and supports autonomous and semi-autonomous movement and guidance modes. Thanks to this, the platform can perform combat missions on tens of kilometers of the route in both directions without the participation of personnel in the zone of impact. According to the developers, the ability to work «from cover» is a key advantage of the system, as it reduces risks for operators and increases the effectiveness of the grenade launcher.
The integrated complex has already been used in combat conditions during an offensive operation, where it has confirmed its ability to operate as a mobile firing platform. The system can be supplied both as individual products and as a ready-made integrated solution, and the rapid integration format allows it to be quickly put into operation.
The Burya robotic turret supports long-term autonomous operation, has a built-in ballistic calculator and a coordinate-based firing mode. The ARDAL ground complex is a tracked platform for logistics, evacuation and fire missions, capable of transporting significant loads and operating at a long distance from the operator thanks to several communication channels, including satellite.
