Google integrated Gemini into Chrome: the browser received 10 new AI features

Google has introduced the biggest Chrome update in history: the browser has received the integration of Gemini artificial intelligence and a number of other features for a safer and more productive use.
Gemini is now available to Chrome users on Mac and Windows in the US, and will soon be available on mobile, Google said in a blog post. The assistant can help explain complex information on pages, create summaries of content, and even work with multiple tabs at once, combining information into a convenient summary.
Chrome will also feature an «agent mode» that will allow users to ask Gemini to perform routine online tasks, such as ordering products or booking services. The AI will also be trained to find pages you’ve visited before, so you won’t have to scroll through a long search history.
Other updates include deeper integration with Calendar, YouTube, and Maps, so you can schedule meetings, quickly find the right moments in a video, or check directions without switching tabs. There’s now an AI Mode shortcut in the address bar, which lets you ask more complex search questions right away and get expanded answers.
The company has also beefed up its security features. With the Gemini Nano, Chrome will be better at detecting phishing sites and scams, and will automatically block suspicious notifications. Another new feature is the ability to change compromised passwords with one click on supported sites like Spotify, Coursera, and H&M.
Google emphasizes that with AI-based updates, Chrome will become «smarter and more useful than ever,» combining performance, security, and a personalized experience.

Як нейромережі бачать вільну та незалежну Україну? Тест dev.ua
