According to a previous TechRadar review, Nano Banana 2 will work according to a multi-step scheme: the system first guesses the composition, generates a draft, checks the result for typical flaws (broken proportions, crooked lines, strange shadows, corrupted text), automatically cleans it up, and only then returns the final image.

The new approach should eliminate the most noticeable defects that annoy users in their daily work: from «broken» fingers and «floating» objects to incorrect perspectives. Instead of a one-time generation, the tool acts as a designer assistant: it makes a sketch, finds problems on its own, reworks and brings it to a neat state. This is how Google seeks to reduce the number of re-generations and manual edits when you need to quickly get a photo for a presentation, a product mockup or a series of similar illustrations.
The control of angles and shooting point is promised to be predictable. The user sets the desired angle or distance to the subject, the composition does not «break», and the proportions remain consistent between iterations. A separate caption editing mode will allow you to correct text or font without destroying the rest of the scene, so road signs, labels and titles will look readable, and not like a random set of characters.
In code mentions, the module is referred to as GEMPIX 2, and references to «Nano Banana Pro» indicate that the configuration is being prepared for more complex or high-resolution tasks. Testers also find traces of the new feature in experimental tools like Whisk Labs. This is typical for Google, when features first appear on several «surfaces» and only then scale into the main application.
Google launched the first «banana» generation with SynthID watermarks and content security policies. The second release focuses less on «pixels» and more on scene control and stability of the result: fewer artifacts and more control over the angle, geometry, and text in the image.
