GUR showed which Western components are used in the russian drone "Prince Oleg the Prophetic"

Dozens of foreign components, including from the USA and Switzerland, were discovered in the Russian drone «Prince Oleg the Prophet», and the drone itself turned out to be equipped not only with Chinese optics, but also with a CRP antenna for operation in conditions of countering electronic warfare.

This is reported by «Military» with reference to the data of the War&Sanctions portal, where the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense’s GUR published an analysis of the captured Russian UAV. The product card states that 56 components were identified in «Prince Veshchy Oleg», including 33 of American origin and 5 of Swiss origin. Elements from China, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea, and Taiwan were also recorded in the drone.

The Russian non-profit organization «NPC „Ushkuynik“» is named as the developer and manufacturer of the device, which also appears as the manufacturer of the fiber-optic FPV drone «Prince Vandal Novgorodsky» and the interceptor «Osoed». «Prince Oleg the Prophet» itself has a wingspan of 2.8 m, a maximum speed of up to 130 km/h, a flight radius of up to 45 km and a ceiling of up to 3,000 m.

The drone is equipped with two cameras: a Shenzhen Zhongxi Security IP camera module and a Chinese-made gyro-stabilized D-80AI optoelectronic system. It includes a wide-angle Full HD camera, a camera with a 10x optical zoom, and a three-axis gimbal. A four-channel CRP antenna is used for navigation in conditions of electronic warfare, and movement is provided by two SunnySky electric motors mounted on the wing consoles.

Among the specific Western components that ended up in this UAV, War&Sanctions names, in particular, a U-blox GNSS module from Switzerland, and chips from Analog Devices, Micron, Xilinx, Texas Instruments, Marvell, and Mini-Circuits from the USA. Some of these components are dated 2023–2025, which once again shows that the Russian Federation continues to gain access to modern foreign electronics despite sanctions restrictions.

This drone has been spotted on the front line several times. According to Military, last year it was actively shot down in the Lymansky direction, and in March 2026 in the Siversky direction. The publication of such an analysis is important not only as a demonstration of the composition of a particular UAV, but also as further evidence that Russian weapons continue to rely on extensive supply channels of Western and Asian components.

Previously, dev.ua wrote about how the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine published new data on the Russian Lancet and Scalpel loitering munitions, with which the Russian Federation is striking Ukraine, and named the foreign electronic components used in them.
