As Indeema reports in its press release, the head of the new structure is Volodymyr Shevchik, who previously headed Indeema Software. Former Vakoms CEO Pavlo Pelekh has taken over the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Both teams will continue to work in Lviv and Wroclaw, while the company will retain offices in Canada and the USA, which will allow it to scale its activities internationally.
Indeema Software had been operating since 2014 and had about 80 employees. The company had created its own IoT laboratory, collaborated with scientific institutes and became a partner of several international manufacturers. Vakoms had over 15 years of experience, specialized in Embedded solutions and united more than 100 specialists in three countries.
The merger opens up new opportunities: customers will be able to receive comprehensive solutions — from the development of embedded software and hardware devices to integration with cloud services and scaling of finished products. For the company, this means expanding expertise, access to a wider pool of engineers and entry into new markets.
InSoft.Partners notes that this is the second large-scale merger in their history. The first took place back in 2019, when Lenal, the service part of Rozdoum, and Rademade merged into the company ITernal. In 2022, it was acquired by the global corporation UST Global. Now, the new merger should support the fund’s strategy of forming strong players in the Ukrainian IT market with international potential.
The consolidation of two service players allows Ukraine to strengthen its position in the IoT and Embedded sectors, which are becoming increasingly important in the context of growing demand for smart solutions. For customers, this guarantees faster time-to-market and a more comprehensive approach, and for the team, access to international projects and multidisciplinary tasks. The merger also reduces competition within the country and makes the newly created Indeema Software one of the most prominent players in its segment.
