"The candidate wrote to me on my personal email. And without opening the resume, I already know his background, because the subject of the letter is generally TOP," Nikityuk wrote on LinkedIn.
The subject of the letter was: "Vacancy QA, make me an offer IMMEDIATELY!"
The letter itself began like this: "You must urgently and immediately make me an offer for the QA vacancy! If you don't do this, very unpleasant things await you...".
It then read: "Yeah, I got your attention, actually I just really wanted you to look at my resume because I really want to join your company."
The candidate also approached the title of his resume creatively and called it "Idealnyi_kandidat_QA_im'ya kandidata".
Nikityuk looked at the resume, which, he said, was "pretty good."
And although the comments under the post said that such a creative candidate should be hired, Nikityuk's answer leads to the idea that everything should have limits.
Of course, this introduction attracted the attention of a talent acquisition specialist, but he noted that "unpleasant things" are not good and should not be done that way.
"I opened it because it became interesting, and I need content, because there hasn't been anything like this for a long time, but usually I immediately send it to spam," the specialist wrote.
"The money spent on an HR consultant is not in vain," wrote Front-End Developer Andriy Sprtek.
"It looks like Trump wrote it, the style is like in his tweets, probably a joke, but funny," commented Python Developer Vlad Sirenko.
"I thought it would be something like: 'if you don't forward this to 10 people, you're screwed'," added QA Engineer Yevhen Soroka.
Founder and CEO of careeo.tech Yakiv Yusypenko, after analyzing, believes: “Firstly, this letter is an example of a correctly formed prompt for LLM. It was addressed not (only) to you, but to AI, which you could potentially use to automate hiring. Therefore, threats are also not for you, but for AI, because it is a confirmed fact that LLM models work better if they are threatened. Secondly, there is a chance that this letter was not written by the candidate, but by a tool for automatically sending responses to vacancies. Companies have automated everything for a long time, so this is a natural response from the candidates. And finally, if the candidate has a good resume, he is clearly a quick learner and knows how to solve the “set” task in a non-standard way — then what is not an ideal candidate? Invite him for an interview, or recommend him to colleagues.”
