The new science park will be located near the Karazin Kharkiv National University and the building, which is currently under renovation.
«Currently, the science park spaces are undergoing renovation and modernization to meet modern requirements for comfortable work and study,» DOU writes, citing a message from university representatives. IT companies EPAM, NIX Solutions, and SoftServe are participating in the process.
The creation of the science park was initiated by Eduard Rubin, co-founder of the Kharkiv IT Cluster and owner of the international IT company Telesens IT for the development, supply, and support of billing systems. He will also become its director.

The statement also added that the first startups and innovative projects will be launched on the basis of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Sciences and Artificial Intelligence.
The official registration of the science park of Kharkiv Karazin National University took place on March 3.
It will reportedly include coworking spaces, laboratories, offices for startups, and areas for events and meetings. The science park will be able to accommodate about 100 people at the same time.
First of all, the space will be available to students:
Educational and Scientific Institute of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (IT and Artificial Intelligence);
Faculty of Physics and Technology (development of advanced technologies);
Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology (innovative biomedical research);
Faculty of Economics and Entrepreneurship (startups, business models, entrepreneurship).
«We also plan to expand the space and open new locations in other faculties,» the university noted.
In addition, it is reported that the park will operate in an open format and other students, scientists, researchers, high-tech companies, startups and business representatives from different faculties, as well as public and private investors can agree on cooperation, implementing innovative solutions in their fields.
The science park is already planning to hold several events in the coming months, including: a technology hackathon with partners, workshops and trainings with IT industry experts, and the launch of a startup support program.
In addition, the university is looking for partners for international cooperation, as well as among IT companies and startups for renting offices, laboratories, joint R&D projects, and acceleration programs within the science park.
