A Ukrainian created the KodDok program with unique encryption algorithms for secure file sharing and has already received a patent for its development.
Developer Yuriy Shevchuk created a program for secure work with documents «KodDok», that is, document encoding. It has a special encryption algorithm. The IT specialist has already patented his development in Ukraine. Currently, work is underway to obtain a patent in the USA, where he has lived for several years.

I worked on medical projects both in the United States and in Ukraine, where I saw that there were certain requirements for how data should be handled in this area. It should be as confidential as possible. So I had the idea to make a certain product and patent it.
The KodDoc program provides a high level of document security thanks to several key functions, Yuriy Shevchuk said in an interview with Espresso. He has been working on the program for over a year.
When creating files, it uses AES-256 encryption, which protects them from unauthorized access. Documents are saved in a proprietary .kdd format, which is supported only by this system and is additionally encrypted with a 128-bit algorithm.
«That is, there is its own ecosystem here, because both users must have this program installed,» notes Yuriy.
File access can be configured for up to 500 users, defining their roles and access levels. All changes are recorded in an event log that stores up to 100,000 entries, providing control over editing and viewing.
KodDok also easily integrates with other document management systems, transmitting data via the secure TLS 1.3 protocol, which minimizes the risk of leakage. Additional security is guaranteed by double encryption, which combines RSA-2048 and ECC algorithms, increasing cryptographic strength by 30% compared to standard solutions.
«Even if an attacker gets a file, he won’t be able to play it and see what’s inside. Because it takes a lot of years of supercomputer work to pick up the cipher and open the file. By the way, there’s a lot of talk about AI now. However, even artificial intelligence won’t help with this. After all, they have filters and react to words related to hacking,» Yuriy notes.
Currently, the program is designed for use on a PC, and in the future, a mobile version will also appear.
«KodDok» can be used in any field: from business, logistics to law and medicine, which require the highest level of data protection.
According to the IT specialist, the program helps reduce the risks of cyber threats by 80%, provides controlled access, and complies with international cybersecurity standards ISO/IEC 27001.
