"Contract 18–24" has been supplemented with a drone service: two years of service, payment of 1 million UAH and a 0% mortgage
The Government of Ukraine is launching a new direction within the framework of the «Contract 18–24» program, namely a contract for drone operators. Participants will serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and the State Border Guard Service under separate conditions, and after completing their service, they will be able to receive a 0% mortgage and a deferral.

As Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on his Telegram channel, the government has supported the expansion of the «Contract 18–24» program, which was launched at the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky. The new direction is focused on the training and service of drone operators.
This contract provides for a clear term of service of two years. Selected candidates will undergo basic training for 45 days, professional training for up to 60 days, taking into account existing certificates, and an additional 14 days of adaptation course.
As in the basic version of the program, participants are guaranteed a payment of UAH 1 million, which is provided in three stages. After completing their service, veterans will be able to take advantage of state support, including a 0% mortgage.
In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers is submitting a bill to parliament for consideration that will give those who have completed contract service the right to a one-year deferment after reaching the age of 25.

A little more about «Contract 18–24»
The program was launched in May 2024 as an alternative to mobilization for young people aged 18 to 24. It involves a voluntary two-year contract with financial support, social guarantees, and post-war support. The idea is to create a motivated professional army based on a contract approach, which allows avoiding mass conscription and at the same time strengthening the country’s defense capabilities.
