According to Zaxid.net and messages received by users, the operator is warning about an increase in the cost of tariffs from March 31. The messages cite the increase in electricity costs and network technical support as the reason for the changes.
In particular, we are talking about a tariff with payment every 4 weeks, where the cost increases from 350 to 400 UAH. At the same time, subscribers are offered an alternative — to switch to the contract tariff «ALL TOGETHER Light Contract» for 370 UAH per month.
On the official Kyivstar website, archived tariffs with similar costs do indeed exist, which partially confirms the authenticity of the mailing. At the same time, the company has not publicly published a full list of tariffs that will increase in price.
This means that changes may be spot-on and depend on the subscriber’s specific tariff plan. Therefore, users should check the SMS from the operator, the «My Kyivstar» application, or their tariff in the user account.
Earlier, another mobile operator, lifecell, reported an increase in tariffs from April. They also explained the changes by the increase in network maintenance costs. Against this background, both cases may indicate a general trend in the mobile communications market in Ukraine.
