LinkedIn is flooded with AI, so users are learning to write like humans again
LinkedIn, a professional social network, is increasingly filled with automated content, forcing famous authors and companies to abandon the use of artificial intelligence. New research shows that a significant portion of publications on the platform are no longer written by humans, which is why the network is increasingly demanding authentic texts with mechanical errors or inaccuracies.
This was reported by Business Insider, citing analytics from Pangram, a company specializing in detecting algorithmically generated content.
According to analysts, AI generated about 41% of long-form posts and 30% of short-form posts on LinkedIn, the highest rate among all popular platforms tracked by Pangram, including X, Reddit, Substack, and Medium.
One prominent business leader, Stephen Bartlett, founder of FlightStory, has already completely overhauled his page strategy. His company has stopped using AI to write posts entirely because automated texts became too visible to the audience and began to lose engagement.
«AI mistakes are really noticeable. When the world wobbles to the left, opportunity lies to the right. What will stand out on LinkedIn now more than ever? Real words written by a human,» said FlightStory’s director of business development, Christiana Brenton.
Bartlett’s posts are now entirely handwritten, she says. The team doesn’t even specifically correct occasional spelling mistakes or minor inaccuracies, in order to emphasize the natural origin of the content. This approach has already brought the company significantly better reach and audience response.
LinkedIn itself is currently demonstrating double standards. On the one hand, the platform is actively offering users a built-in AI assistant to improve text right in the post creation window. On the other hand, representatives of the social network are announcing the start of the fight against the so-called AI slop — low-quality content created by algorithms without any special user effort and not carrying any unique value or fresh perspective.
Тест dev.ua
